Praying for Single Mothers
- Pray for single mothers who feel like they are drowning as they work and take care of their children.
- Ask the Father to give them wisdom. If there is an estranged husband whose repentance could improve the situation, pray that the Lord will work powerfully in him. Otherwise, ask the Lord would send godly men as a good influence in the lives of her children. Some will be tempted to settle for any man who can take some of that pressure off of her. Ask God to protect her from the temptation to “settle.”
- Pray she will not feel so overwhelmed that she won’t seek first the Kingdom.
- Pray that the Lord would provide the needs of her family.
- Pray that the Holy Spirit would guide her in planning finances and meals and getting each child where that child needs to be.
